What a great start to our vacation! We headed out pretty much after the kids got out of school and drove to Worcester. I was planning on just going to McDonald’s for a quick bite to eat but Paul
suggested we go to Texas Road House. I had never been there, really good ribs! Oh, I had a free appetizer coupon as well and the buffalo tenders were a hit with everyone! Laura our waitress was awesome! Then off we went! The drive into Worcester to get to the DCU Center was easy and surprisingly, the parking was only $10!
The show was fantastic. How can you go wrong with Disney’s favorites and classics! My husbands’s favorite and the boys’ favorite is always the Lion King. I really liked Peter Pan! I love it when the characters fly, it’s so magical. The colors were so vibrant and I thought all the props and effects were grand. Olyvia liked The Little Mermaid. We loved the bubbles coming out of the ceiling when they had the “Under The Sea” song! Flounder, he’s just so cute!
Looking around at the seating in the building, there wasn’t a bad seat in the house! So, with the price ranges being as they are for tickets, you can count on being able to see well at any seat and pay according to your budget!
We didn’t buy any trinkets but there were a lot of familys who did. You could get light up mini mouse headbands starting at $5. They had popcorn going around and shaved ice. I didn’t hear how much the popcorn ran but the shaved ice in light flashing cups were running $15. The cups were really cool but a bit pricey if I had to buy six of them. The kids said if they had thought of if they would have brought their money. I may have let them get it too. This was a treat, it doesn’t happen often that’s for sure!
In the lobby there were different background and prop set ups for your children to get their photos taken.
I loved the show! When we were leaving, Camden said it wasn’t good…..it was AWESOME! I felt Disney came to me instead of me having to go to Disney. Like I said earlier today, who doesn’t love Disney? There were all ages of people there tonight. I even noticed a few rows in front of me was an older couple, I”d say in their 70s and they did not leave with any of the younger people who sat beside them. I think it was their Friday night date night! How sweet!
