I went to Intuitive Touch in Concord last week for my appointment for foot reflexology. It’s the first time I’ve had it done but I have been wanting to try it for years. I remember about 10 years ago when I had a pedicure the woman who was doing my treatment was talking about reflexology. She knew of a woman who had discovered she had a tumor in her neck from going to a reflexology appointment. Reflexology is definitely more than a foot massage, even if it wasn’t, the foot massage is the best ever!!!! Certainly, when you get it done the setting is in a relaxing room, the mood calming. I knew if I let myself, I would have fallen asleep easily. I was so interested in how reflexology works that I had to chat with Stephanie a bit during our session. She explained to me that the foot and hands are pretty much a map of our bodies and when she rubbed or kneaded a certain part it was essentially effecting another part of our body. There were several times I’d get tingling sensations to certain places; once it was my hips, once it was in my arm, even my head was tingling at one point. When it occurred I’d ask Stephanie what part of my body she was concentrating on and yes, it was exactly what I had thought. Our bodies are so intricately created!
For the last couple of months I’ve been experiencing quite uncomfortable pain in my right arm. You’ll never believe what from: blogging on the computer. Yikes, huh! Resting it isn’t going to cut it for me. After my session I could move my arm much more at ease and could lift more things without such pain. I’d have to say that my discomfort went from about a 9 to about a 5. I was at the point that to lift a bag of apples at the store, I’d drop them because of the pain. Six days later I’m probably at 3 for discomfort, I can pretty much ignore it now. Isn’t that amazing! Reflexology is good for many things such as blogging, insomnia, reducing stress, improve blood circulation, stimulates nerve function, increases energy and more. Reflexology is just one of the many services Stephanie offers at Intuitive Touch. She’s offering a great deal with us starting tomorrow, as a matter of fact, she’s put two different deals together for us. No, it’s not reflexology, but trust me, you’ll love them!!!!
