Top 5 Counter Service Restaurants in Disney World
Counter Service restaurants are restaurants that you order at a counter, pick up your own food, and
then find a place to eat. You are responsible for disposing of everything at the end of the meal. Counter
service meals cost less than full service table service meals.
5) Sunshine Seasons:
Located in Epcot near Soarin’ and Living with the Land this Counter Service restaurant is designed to
look like a mall or airport food court. There are different types of food here and it is fairly easy to find
4) Columbia Harbor House:
This Counter Service restaurant is located in the Magic Kingdom. The quality of the food is very high
here. I have seen soup in bread bowls, lobster rolls, and other types of sandwiches. The first time I
visited it was raining and it was so inviting because of the cozy atmosphere. This is a good location if you
are looking for something more than hotdogs, hamburgers, and chicken tenders.
3) Pepper Market:
This eatery is out of the parks at the Coronado Springs Resort. I’m not gonna lie this one made the list
simply because it has the best éclairs I have ever tasted. On one stay at this resort I had more than one
on every day of my vacation. You can also find Mexican inspired food here. When choosing a resort I
would recommend Coronado Springs because of the high quality feel of the resort.
2) Flame Tree Barbeque:
You would never believe that this food comes from a Counter Service place. This restaurant is in Animal
Kingdom. The seating area is quiet near a river and there is a view of Expedition Everest. The food is
very good and the portions are huge! You could definitely share a meal here. When I think about this
restaurant I have very happy memories which I think this is why it is on the list.
1) Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory:
Diddo on the happy memories for this last Counter Service place. It is located at Port Orleans French
Quarter. The last resort I stayed at is French Quarter so I think one of the reasons this place is number
one stems from that. The food here is very good, particularly the desserts and the Mickey Waffles. The
atmosphere doesn’t feel like a huge food court and the food is way better than you would expect from a
food court with lots of variety.
