Maple syrup time is here. We’re so lucky that we have a neighbor who makes his own maple syrup and the kids get to experience the procedure with them. It’s such a short season so take advantage of the tours, the free samples and the fun outside experience!
Maple Guys.com: NH Maple Weekend is Saturday, March 22nd and Sunday, March 23rd! We will be open at our new location – 311 Cram Hill Road, Lyndeborough, NH 03082 – both days from 11am until 4pm. Watch sap boil on our 2′ x 8′ traditional wood-fired evaporator, see our new tubing system that runs right to the sugarhouse, participate in tree tapping demonstrations and enjoy live music. As always, we will be serving hot dogs boiled in maple sap as well as coffee and doughnuts. Maple syrup, cream and candy will be available for sale as well as our maple barbecue sauces and maple cotton candy.
The Rock Estate: “The Maple Experience program at The Rocks is really hands-on, and that’s what sets us apart from other maple tours,” said Nigel Manley, manager of The Rocks Estate. “Participants drill holes in the trees, put taps in, and hang buckets. They also learn to identify different types of trees, so they can tap their own sugar maples at home.”
