While our family stayed up in Lincoln, NH for a mini getaway, I drove past the Jean’s Playhouse sign which displayed that the show Nunsense was playing that evening. I had been wanting to see the show for years. My grandmother saw a few different versions over the years and enjoyed it every time. So, Lyvie, my 13 year old and I, had a date night. I was hoping she was going to like it as much as I though I would and she did! The entire audience laughed throughout the performance, my cheeks were actually hurting by the end. That’s a good thing!
I love quaint community playhouses. Some of the most memorable plays I’ve seen are from small town community playhouses. The cast gave a phenomenal performance that evening. Though Nunsence is over, their summer schedule is filled with many other performances and they also offer children’s theater performances.
Tickets range between $7.50-$30 a ticket, even less if you purchase a season pass.
Heading to Jean’s Playhouse is a fun thing to do if you live near by or are going to be in the area on vacation.
